June 29, 2010

hahha yeah so i fit into a size 36 pant now, comfortably. there is a wal-mart in Juarez that i bought a pair of pants. i only bought one cuz i didn´t want to take too much cash out of my card in case of emergency. we eat beans and tortilla´s with EVERY meal, including breakfast, thats one of the three. this week has been tons better. its still hot and i´m still sick, but its not as bad. i´m not gonna lie, cuz your my family and all, but i wasn´t wanting to be here. at all. but i think that that was just the culture shock and the cold showers and the sickness all wrapped up into one big problem. but now i´m here and the only way i´m coming home is on my deathbed or in april of 2012. this past 2 days its been raining and i love it!!! its been great!! tracting in the rain really isn´t that bad, but my comp hates the rain. its pretty crazy rain too, its a downpore. the streets were way muddy and gross and i ruined one of my ties. but all is well, hopefully i´ll go to a place with a dry cleaner in my next transfer. we get a new mission president on the 1st of july so we might have to go to chihuahua again. its about a 4 hour bus ride, but the busses here are suprisingly nice. in the city of Juarez, like the public transit, there busses are like old school buses but the ones we travel in are like greyhounds and stuff. Love the pics with Cali Ann! cute baby! can´t wait to meet her :) you can pretty much send whatever you want we have pretty much everything to cook with. even a blender. Church here is interesting. the chapel is small and pretty much just an old house with the church plaque thingy on it. my spanish is doing pretty well cuz its being forced upon me :) i can definately start to see some changes and its good. i can somewhat understand the investigators and the members. ah, st louis. have fun there!! give everyone there my love! so the town of Villa Ahumada is smaller than roosevelt. its only like a little bigger than Altamont. not very big at all. these last couple weeks we've been in Juarez during our p-days cuz elder robles is district leader and he has meetings here. there aren´t too many children in villa ahumada. mostly old farmers and there families. sure there are kids but if you send me candy, i´ll probably just eat it myself. :) i have a video of our house on my camera so i´ll upload that next week so you can have a tour. hopefully these pics will do for now.
the pic of the fan?? yeah that thing is my best friend!!

pic of my shoes was my first day and they got that dirty. the roads in villa are all dirt.

pic of the spider, yeah that thing is huge. thats a 4x4 piece of wood. just to let you see the size of that thing.
pic of the burrow is for dad. print it off and make him hang it in his office ;)

Here is his shower that only spits out cold water

and his kitchen
so yeah that is about all in this letter so love ya and talk to you next week!!
