Patrick was able to call home on Thursday for a very short visit. He was only able to talk for five min. and he did call home and talk to mom and dad, to tell them that his Visa has not yet arrived. He was suppose to be leaving for Mexico on Monday, but no VISA, so he will stay in the MTC for a little longer. My mom said that he seems to have a good attitude about the situation, but he is just so excited to get to Mexico and meet the people. ok now here is his last letter.

Hey! I didn't even get to write you yet! No VISA yet??? I think the best thing will be to call the cell phone. If you call Friday, maybe you could talk to quite a few of us.(if we're fast), but try my cell first. OK... we are still praying for you AND your VISA!! What are they telling you there at the MTC?? Will they just keep you there? I'll quit writing so you can email me back! Oh, a package should be coming today or tomorrow!! Love you lots!! Mom


hey i just got your package and thanks a ton for it!! ok so the situation on the visa's: we will know if we have them on Saturday at the latest.... if we don't get them then we get to call you and we'll stay here until we get them.... if we are here for 1 1/2 extra months (15-16 weeks total) we will go stateside until they get it.... I'll get to call you either Monday at the airport if i get it or on Friday or Saturday to let you know if I'm still here.... apparently the consulate in slc takes a break during the month of may, so there are like 70 missionaries here that are waiting for their visa's too.... so I'm pretty sure I'll be calling you on Friday or Saturday ;) its all good tho the Lord knows EVERYONE"S situation and knows what to do! trust in Him and He will Deliver!! we actually heard a talk about patience at last nites devotional.... it was Brother Foster from the Seventy and he said that patience is the key. we are here on the Lord's time and when we need to be there, we will. I LOVE YOU ALL AND MISS YOU SO!!! haha I'll talk to you later!! Literally!! :)


I'm glad to hear you have such a good attitude about this. It's a hard situation, I know, because you have been looking forward to this for so long. I'm sorry, but at the same time know that the Lord has his plan in place for you!! You continue to have our prayers and I AM looking forward to hear from you when you call.
